Beaten and Robbed in The Desert

Posted on June 7, 2017

A boy was robbed in the desert and beaten almost to death. He used to be a shepherd but was traveling through Egypt in search of a treasure.

This is an excerpt from the book “The Alchemist.”

I recently read this book and it was life changing. The boy lived a pedestrian life as a shepherd but grew tired of his life. He then started having dreams about a treasure for him in Egypt. He thought the dreams meant nothing but people kept appearing in his life telling him to pursue his destiny and travel to Egypt to attain his treasure.

After much contemplation, the boy decided to leave his life of comfort as a shepherd and pursue his destiny.

As seen on Forbes, Mashable,

This sounds wild, but it’s something we all face in our lives.

We get comfortable and often put off pursuing our dreams as an entrepreneur. Many people often give up on their destiny, the life they desire to live, because it seems outrageous or daunting.

But we, like the shepherd boy, must seek out our treasure. We must seek out making our dreams a reality and decide that no matter what, we will achieve it.

What is your destiny? What is your treasure in life that your soul longs for?

I’ll give you one of the many quotes from the book that inspired me to keep accomplishing more in my entrepreneurial journey.

“When you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you achieve it.” – The Alchemist

I haven’t read The Alchemist, but now I want to. I love reading books and seeing movies that inspire and motivate people to better things.

Got something to say?
